Written Bio:

Let's see, I got born, that was nice.  Then I got older.  I've always liked technology, especially audio stuff and lighting stuff.  I studied that in college.  Oh, I grew up in a small town in central Texas called Brownwood.  My family owns a ranch there.  I came to Austin in '96 to attend UT.  I became a Christian my senior year.  I was raised as a Christian and there was a time that I believed it, and a time when I didn't.  I suppose the simplest thing to say is that my faith became my own and I truly put Jesus in the driver's seat of my life.  (well as truly as any 21 year old human can).  So He led me into a church where I discovered a gifting for music worship and a calling for ministry.  Then He brought Kelly Ann and I together and we got hitched -she's the best part of my life aside from God!  She likes Art and Mexico.  We have since had two awesome kids, Sam and Lucy.  Sam really likes cars and trains, Lucy likes to smile a whole lot.  What else can I say?  We'd love!  to get to know you sometime!

My favorite Bible character is...

Peter.  I love people who stick their foot in their mouths and wear their imperfection on their sleeve cause I do it all the time and it makes me feel better!  Peter was always outspoken and was wrong quite often, but I never see him as ashamed (except for that one time at breakfast).  He's just trying to get with the program as best he can and I feel like that a lot of the time.

If I had a different job I would be...

I'd want to be a city planner or a, what do they call 'em....gosh, I can't remember, wait just a second......uh........civil engineer!!!!  Yeah, someone who designs streets and highways and traffic flow.  I dunno why, but that sounds really fun to me.  I promise I won't waste any more of your tax dollars than I have to, and all my projects will only be two years behind schedule.

If I could ask God one question it would be...

Are we there yet?

The best thing I get to do because of my job is...

I get to meet all kinds of people, all over town, all the time.  Each week I'm in different places and I get to see different parts of Austin.  I also end up in a lot of churches and it's very cool to see how God is the same all over the city and how He is working and moving through his people all the time.

Three people I'd like to meet...

The Edge.  I'd spend hours on end quizzing him about guitar effects.  Trent Reznor.  I'd spend hours on end quizzing him about making music with computers.  Chris Tomlin, I'd spend hours on end learning from him how to be a better music worship leader.

One of the things I find most fascinating...

The way mirrors look silver, but you can't really see the silver.  You know, how, when you look at a mirror, really all you see is the light that's reflected in it, you see some other part of the room or whatever, but then you can also tell that the mirror is silver.  Isn't that weird?

Some of my favorite books are...

Books?  Um...favorite, huh....I uh, dunno. I suppose the Bible might be the "spiritual" answer that I might feel like I had to say, being as this is a church website and all, but I'm guessing that the point of this bio thing-o is to get to know my personality.  If that's the case, then you should know that me and reading don't see eye to eye.  It happened in the fall of '98, I bought a book called "The History Of The World".  It was about as thick as the radius of the world too.  That was about it for me.  I tried and tried and tried, I just could never get past chapter 4.  I think it totally deflated my confidence and my own evaluation of my intellect.  Yes, this is a true story.

Favorite websites...

www.dilbert.com, www.fullcompass.com, www.maps.google.com, www.craigslist.com, www.theonion.com

Favorite movies...

I don't know what my favorite movie is, but I can tell you which one I dislike the most....Terms of Endearment.  YUCK!  This was horrible-horrible, the most boring and pointless things ever.  We got it one day cause it won a bunch of Oscars or whatever, but really, why???

The most fun I've ever had was...

Writing this answer list.  I can't tell you how much fun it was, I swear, I fell off the couch laughing three different times.  If only you could have seen me, it would have cracked you up.  You know how when someone is having so much fun, and you see them, and they are just like...wow, having a total blast, and then you can't help it either, you just start right in, laughing, screaming, having the TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!!!  Well, that would have happened to you if you could have seen me while I was typing all this stuff about me.  Fun times......good times.
