The Great Adventure
Summer is an exciting time for Northpoint students to put their faith into action! Get ready to experience real life transformation this summer through the Great Adventure! This summer, students at Northpoint will live out our vision of reaching the Greater Austin area with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ through our Backyard Bible Clubs, SummerFest, and our mission trip to East Austin.
It all started in Boot Camp...
Student leaders from Northpoint were among 200 students from Hill Country Bible Church campuses who spent the week of June 22-26 on the UT campus in Boot Camp, learning the curriculum for this year's Backyard Bible Clubs. They learned methods to share the gospel with children, participated in service projects, and shared in worship time and fellowship with other believers.
Backyard Bible Clubs and SummerFest...
This summer, our junior and senior high student leaders teamed up with our communities to lead Backyard Bible Clubs from July 13th through 16th. Our students engaged children from kindergarten through 4th grade for 4 days through games and Bible stories presented in fun ways. We saw 119 kids in 8 different clubs - and 28 souls were saved!

It was all followed up with SummerFest 2009, held at Northpoint on July 19th. All the kids who came to Backyard Bible Clubs and their parents were invited for free food, snow cones, inflatables and more!
GO! Trip to East Austin...
Our students headed to East Austin July 26th through August 1st. They were housed at Huston-Tillotson University, and their days were spent serving the children of East Austin through Bible Clubs and community service projects. The students partnered with MIssion Possible and visited Church Under the Bridge on Sunday morning, where they were able to interact with the homeless, pray with them and love on them. Through the week, they visited East Austin housing projects in the mornings, playing with the kids and sharing Bible stories and games with them. Afternoons involved service projects in the nearby neighborhoods, partnering with Mission Possible. And then in the evenings, the kids all joined up again to share God stories and worship. It was an incredible opportunity and an eye-opening experience for our students, who now understand that they don't have to go across the world to find people who need encouragement, love and hope.
