PROJECT JUJA is a relationship. It's hope, it's a promise, it's a response to God's call to care for the orphans.
Rather than short-term, project-driven donations to help orphans, MOSAIC ministry's vision is to come alongside third-world churches who are in the trenches daily, passionately carrying out the mission of rescuing orphans. PROJECT JUJA, launched in 2010, is the first relationship formed by MOSAIC and it brings us to Eastern Africa. Through MOSAIC, Northpoint has partnered with the Fountain of Life Church in Juja, Kenya. Reverend James Gitau Kinyanjui, Pastor of Fountain of Life, leads by example. He demonstrates amazing compassion for orphans and for his neighbors, giving and serving to a depth that boldly expresses Christ's love and compassion for those in need.
Pastor James' church rescues orphans and houses them in a small group home on the church property. The children are a true part of the church family - they have hope and a future. Their basic needs - nutrition, medical care and education - are met, but more importantly, that care is in the context of a family within a church that is completely engaged in its community. While some may view the orphans as "saved" by the church, Pastor James teaches the children that their real salvation is the ultimate gift they've received from Jesus Christ - adoption into His family.

The orphan crisis in Kenya is staggering. Faced with a 40% unemployment rate and half the population living below the poverty line, the country has little resources to support its 3 million orphaned and abandoned children. The average income in Kenya is less than one dollar a day.
But through strategic partnerships, we can be a part of the solution. Through prayer, financial assistance, encouragement, and annual mission trips, Northpoint is honored to serve with Pastor James.
